5 Great Coupon Apps for Frugal Shoppers

Smart phone users everywhere are looking for easy ways to save money while on the go. Access to a printer isn’t always an option, so finding the right mobile coupon app can be key to saving money for the frugal shopper. Here are five of the best coupon apps available for smart phones.

Coupon Sherpa

The Coupon Sherpa is an online site that offers both a mobile coupon app and printable coupons on the web. Plus, it offers up printable and mobile coupons for popular favorites including Amazon.com, American Eagle Outfitters, Barnes & Noble, Bath & Body Works, Best Buy, JCPenney, KMart and many more. Simply download the app straight from the website to start saving.

Pushpins

This high tech app is a great way to quickly find coupons while the user is in the store. Simply ‘check-in’ to the grocery store and scan products. If any coupons are available for the product, pushpins will instantly alert the user. This app gives digital coupons and savings that can be loaded onto rewards clubs cards or store-issued savings cards, making it easy to access the savings.

GeoQpons

This app features retail and restaurant coupons, because coupons aren’t just limited to grocery stores. With this application, users can get in-store coupons and offers from popular stores including GAP, Hobby Lobby and Carter’s. Simply load the coupon onto the screen and show it to the cashier to begin saving. Currently, a good majority of stores accept mobile coupons; though not all have made the switch and will only accept paper coupons. However, many of the coupons can be printed out for use if necessary.

Shop Savvy

The ShopSavvy App allows users to scan a bar code while in the store using their phone’s camera feature. Then, the app browses the web to find all of the prices for that particular product at local retailers and through internet retailers. Users can then determine if they are getting the best deal at that particular location, or if they would be better off picking it up elsewhere.

Valpak

Valpak is known for its money saving Sunday morning coupons, but now users can access these coupons electronically using their smartphone. Simply show the cashier the on-screen coupon and voila, instant, mobile savings.

Saving money is easy once one knows where to begin. With coupon apps, frugal shoppers can save both time and money by eliminating coupon cutting and hunting, as these apps provide instant gratification and many compare multiple prices at multiple locations simultaneously to ensure the best deal is found.
