The Internet provides access to some great tools and resources for saving money.
From printable coupons to sites that allow consumers to compare credit card quotes; the Internet helps smart shoppers save on almost anything.
Here are five simple ways to save money by using resources on the Internet.
1. Compare Credit Card quotes and Other Loan Rates
Websites devoted to helping consumers compare credit card quotes and rates on other types of loans are a great tool for finding the best credit card or loan for your situation. You can compare credit card quotes for rates, fees and terms to determine which credit card will meet your needs and help you save the most money. If you are carrying credit card debt; a lower rate can save you hundreds or thousands of dollars per year. A site that allows consumers to compare credit card quotes side by side is both a money saving and time saving tool.
2. Price Comparison Websites
A price comparison website allows consumers to compare prices on products or services at several companies or retailers; so shoppers can quickly and easily find the best price for the item. Comparing prices by visiting several stores or company websites or making several phone calls takes a large investment of time and effort. Price comparison websites take the hard work out of this important task. Shoppers can save on household items, gifts, cable service, phone service and many other products and services by visiting a price comparison website prior to making a purchase.
3. Coupons
The Sunday newspaper is not the only source for coupons anymore. Printable coupons are available from a wide variety of sources on the Internet. Retailers regularly post printable coupons or coupon codes on their websites or social networking sites, and coupon sites also feature printable coupons. Printable coupons can be used in stores to save money and online coupon codes can help shoppers save while shopping online.
4. Shop Online
Discount online retailers, free shipping offers and coupon codes sometimes make shopping from the convenience of home cheaper than venturing out to a store. Shopping online using free shipping deals and other discounts is a great time saver and way to save on gas that would be used to drive to a store.
5. Read Online
With the exception of the Sunday newspaper for those who use coupons; a newspaper is not a necessity with access to the Internet. The latest news, entertainment and information is available on the Internet.
The Internet makes saving money easy. Smart money moves like comparing rates and prices and finding money saving coupons that might take a large amount of time can be accomplished quickly and conveniently using resources on the Internet.

When my husband and I finally got the internet 3 years ago (we hadn’t deemed it necessary before then) I decided to set myself a challenge to save or find ways to make more than we were spending on the internet bill.
Once I started looking I could not believe how much money we were able to save, well and truly more than the monthly cost of having the internet and now I am making decent money. It is amazing.
