As often as I look at our budget to see where I can shave costs, you would think I would have thoroughly examined the pros and cons of bundling our cable, wireless and internet services. But alas I haven’t. We’ve always looked at each service independently based on our needs. And for those three services combined we spend over $200 a month for pretty much the lowest levels of service. Seems like there is room for improvement here.
But right now we are happy with each of the services independently. That’s not always the case. And if you bundle your services do you risk sacrificing satisfaction with each service for a small discount? And what about the hassle of switching services. Is it worth it? I don’t know. But I’m going research it and find out if it’s something that will benefit us financially.
I’m going to look at both local and national cell phone carriers, local cable companies and phone companies like AT&T for their pricing (or bt broadband prices if you’re in the UK). And I’ll let you know what I come up with. Right now I’m skeptical that the amount we can save is worth the hassle of switching service providers, but you never know. I may surprise myself. I’ll get back to you next week with the results of my research and what our decision is.
I’d love to hear from you. Do you bundle your cable, internet and wireless services? Are you happy? Were there any surprises after you made the change?
