Wow - that is fantastic. Congratulations, Mary. I bet your mind is at ease. Even if worse came to worse, you are already in position to feed your family. My hat is off to you.

I did something different this year with my bonus and tax money. I paid all my insurance and utilities up for one year. Than I paid off my car. I have a boat payment of 390.00, and 2nd mort of 300. and a house payment of 1500--my last 3 bills. Than I bought 1/4 cow for 1.39 a lb including roasts steaks soup bones, ribs and tons of hanmburger. He threw in 2 pork roasts, and 8 lbs of bacon and 6 chopped up chickens. I got a good deal as he is my neighbor- Im lucky. I have my garden leftovers, and will do a garden again this yr. I am worried about losing my job, so at least we have food, and all our living ect pd for. I am starting to save, and plan to have 6-8 monthsof living put aside. This will take time, and in the meantime, I am working on paying up the boat and 2nd mort. My job is very insecure although it pays great. If I can get at least the boat and 2nd pd in the next 2 yrs, and hang on--- I should be alright. No more debt for me.
