Three weeks ago today Baby Frugal was born following 24 hours of labor culminating in a C-section. Our sweet baby boy was just too big to come out on his own. At birth he weighed 10 pounds 2 ounces and measured 22 inches long! The nurses said he looked more like a two month old than a newborn.
This little guy has completely turned our world upside down. And despite being sleep deprived, constantly covered in spit up and at the mercy of his feeding schedule, we are totally smitten. He is the sweetest, funniest baby ever! But of course I am a bit biased!
Now that we are getting our routine down, I’m hoping to slowly get back to posting regularly. Thank you for your patience while I’ve been away.

That’s awesome, congrats! Our baby was born the day after yours….and she only weighed half as much! But she is sucking down milk like crazy and will be 10lbs in no time.

Congratulations to you!!! It’s quite a ride but it’s a terrific one. My wife just had a baby, too. We are thrilled and also on the same roller coaster. But, wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s a big boy! I hope this crazy time leads to more sleep for mom and dad. Our only insurance for saving our sanity at this point is that my mother-in-law is here to help out. In a couple of weeks we are in trouble!
