These meatballs are quick and easy and freeze well. I cook them up in batches, toss them in a Ziploc freezer bag and pull them out as needed. Simply add frozen meatballs to your favorite sauce and simmer for 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- ½ cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400o. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
Mixture should be moist but not so that the meatballs fall apart. If too dry add a little water to moisten the mixture.
Form meatballs and place onto cookie sheet (I cover my sheets with foil for easy cleanup).
Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
Notes
A healthy option is to try substituting tofu for half the meat. Also try substituting chopped cilantro for the parmesan cheese.
