As of today I am 37 weeks into my pregnancy. And while I have 3 weeks to go until I hit my due date, my doctor has informed me that my little guy can decide at anytime to make his appearance. Oy! I never really went through a nesting period so now I’m feeling under the gun to get things in order before he arrives. Some of the things I’m working on:
- Getting the nursery in order and installing car seats
- Packing my bag for the hospital
- Batch cooking a bunch of meals and snacks to tide us over during the first weeks/months
- Planting my garden – we’ve had an unusually wet/cold spring so I’ve been holding off planting my garden. But I definitely want to get this done before the baby comes.
- Building a queue of posts for Cool to be Frugal
In the meantime, here are some great posts that I’ve been reading this week:

Thanks! It’s pretty surreal thinking we’ll have a baby soon.
Very nice on the up coming birth. Good luck and I’m wishing you have a VERY quick delivery.
Thank you Jeff! Me too!!!
Hey Congrats! I’m new to Yakezie and thought i’d stop by and say hello. My wife is 32 weeks pregnant but was also told it could happen any day now (she’s on bedrest which is why we’re expecting early as well).
Anyway, it’s all very exciting and I wish you the best!
Hi Coach! Welcome and thanks for visiting. Gosh, being in bed is one of the most uncomfortable places for me. I hope it’s better for your wife. Thanks for the warm wishes and I wish you guys the best as well!
Wishing you the best on the coming birth! You must be so excited!
Thanks MFO! Yes, excited and a little scared of the unknown.
